Pamukkale is renowned for its stunning white calcite cascades, formed by the hot spring waters originating from 17 different sources in the area. Although swimming is not allowed in the knee-deep terraces, you can enjoy a dip in Cleopatra’s Pool, which is filled with the rejuvenating waters from Pamukkale and adorned with antique columns from Hierapolis Antique City.

Hierapolis Antique City is situated right next to the healing pool of Pamukkale. Initially built by Seleucid Kings, this city has a rich history with Pagan roots and a Jewish community. Over time, it became a significant Christian city due to the martyrdom and tomb of St. Philip. Hierapolis flourished as a center for arts, philosophy, and trade. Today, you can explore the Necropolis, Roman Baths, Domitian Gate, Latrina, Oil Factory, Frontinus Street, Agora, Byzantium Gate, Triton Fountain, Cathedral, Apollon Temple, Plutonium, Theater, and the renowned Cleopatra’s Pool, which was once part of the ancient healing center.

Salda Lake, often referred to as the “Maldives of Turkey,” captivates with its beautiful white sandy beaches and white magnesium rocks. The crystal-clear waters showcase mesmerizing shades of blue and green, creating a picturesque scene that invites you to capture countless photos. Whether you choose to relax on the beach, swim in the pristine waters, or explore the stunning surroundings, Salda Lake offers a serene and captivating experience.

Sagalassos, located high in the Taurus Mountains, was a prosperous metropolis during the Roman era. The region’s fertile soil and abundant clay deposits contributed to its wealth. Today, you can witness the almost complete preservation of this mighty city, including its grand fountains and other magnificent structures from its golden age.

Laodicea, recognized as one of the Seven Churches of Revelation, was a prosperous city known for its cloth and textile manufacturing. Despite enduring numerous earthquakes and wars, remnants of its former grandeur still stand as remarkable monuments and buildings. During your visit, explore the Council Building, Stadium, Gymnasium, Monumental Nymphaeum, Zeus Temple, and the small and large theaters.

Aphrodisias, named after the Greek Goddess of Love, Aphrodite, is an ancient city situated near Geyre village. It was renowned for its marble quarry and the sculptures produced by Aphrodisias artists, which gained fame throughout the Roman world. The city boasts unique architecture and a cult image of Aphrodite. Today, it stands as one of the best-preserved ancient cities in Turkey, showcasing beautiful marble buildings and larger-than-life-size structures created by the talented artists of Aphrodisias. Many of these well-preserved sculptures can be admired in the Aphrodisias Museum.
