2 Days Pamukkale, Denizli Cable Car, Salda Lake and Kaklik Cave Tour
Pamukkale is an extraordinary destination renowned for its stunning white cascades formed by calcium-rich springs. With a total of 17 hot water springs, Pamukkale offers a unique spectacle. As the hot spring waters emerge and lose their carbon dioxide content, calcium bicarbonate settles to create the mesmerizing white pools. Visitors can walk through Pamukkale, immersing themselves in its beauty, and even have the opportunity to relax in the ancient hot water pool and swim in the healing waters.
Hierapolis, constructed atop the hot springs of Pamukkale, dates back to the 2nd century BC when it was built by the Seleucid kings of Pergamon. Over time, it grew into a prosperous Roman metropolis renowned for its healing properties. Hierapolis boasted various sanctuaries representing different beliefs and was also famous for its purple dye, textile production, and clothmaking, making it a thriving trade center. Just outside the city, on the hills, lies the place where Saint Philip is believed to have been martyred. Although it remains uncertain whether this refers to Philip the Apostle or Philip the Evangelist, the crypt is considered a sacred site and holds historical significance.
The Denizli Cable Car ascends to Pashabagi Plateau, reaching an altitude of 1400 meters. A seven-minute ride offers panoramic views of the Denizli plains, allowing visitors to marvel at the surrounding landscape.
Located 100 kilometers from Pamukkale, Salda Lake is a natural wonder characterized by its crystal-clear water, pristine white sands, exotic rock formations, and diverse natural habitat. Often referred to as the “Turkish Maldives” due to its resemblance to the Maldives, Salda Lake captivates visitors with its clarity and captivating shades of blue. It is a remarkable place to visit, offering ample opportunities to capture stunning photographs and revel in the beauty of this natural paradise.
Kaklik Cave presents another captivating attraction reminiscent of Pamukkale, with white terraced cascades situated within a cave. It is a fascinating natural beauty, with enchanting structures shaped by the hot spring waters of the area.
