3 Days Pamukkale, Salda Lake, Sagalassos, Ephesus Tour

Salda Lake is renowned for its stunning features, including white sands, magnesium rocks, mineral-rich waters, and captivating shades of blue and green. It has earned the nickname “Turkish Maldives” due to its resemblance to the tropical paradise. Some even draw comparisons to a lake on Mars, highlighting its otherworldly beauty.

Perched high in the Taurus Mountains, Sagalassos has a rich history dating back to the 14th century BC. However, it flourished during the Roman Empire and became a bustling metropolis. The city thrived thanks to fertile soil and abundant clay deposits, known for producing highly sought-after Terra Sigillata pottery. Today, Sagalassos stands remarkably well-preserved, with remnants such as the state agora, fountains, theater, baths, heroon, and temples.

Pamukkale, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is famous for its striking white travertine cascades. These small pools, filled with hot spring waters rich in calcium, have been shaped over time. Visitors can indulge in the healing properties of the water, just as the residents of Ancient Hierapolis once did. Hierapolis, situated alongside the hot springs of Pamukkale, was not only a healing center but also a flourishing city known for trade, culture, and art. Its cultural influences ranged from Pagan beliefs and a Jewish community to early Christianity. After the martyrdom of St. Philip, it gained significance as a Christian city. Exploring Hierapolis allows you to witness the Necropolis, Roman Baths, Domitian Gate, Latrina, Oil Factory, Frontinus Street, Agora, Byzantium Gate, Triton Fountain, Cathedral, Apollon Temple, Plutonium, Theater, and Antique Pool.

The ancient Greek city of Ephesus, located in the Aegean Region of western Turkey, boasts a history dating back to the 10th century BC. It was one of the twelve cities of the Ionian League during Classical Greek times and later gained prominence as the third-largest Roman city in Asia Minor under Roman rule. Ephesus holds significance as one of the Seven Churches mentioned in the Book of Revelation. As a bustling port and trading hub, it served as both a commercial and religious center. Prominent attractions in Ephesus include the Library of Celsus, the Gate of Augustus, the Basilica of St. John, and the Temple of Artemis.
