Golden Horn Tour Program
- Your tour will start at 08:30 with a hotel pick-up. The first stop will be a boat ride on the Golden Horn, where you can enjoy the scenic views of the coast, as well as several churches and historic buildings. Next, you will head up to Pierre Loti Hill via a cable-lift, where you can admire the panoramic view of Istanbul from above while enjoying a refreshing drink.
- The Chora Church, also known as the Kariye Kilisesi, is a well-preserved example of Byzantine architecture that now serves as a museum. Inside the museum, you will find stunning mosaic depictions of Christian culture that are sure to impress.
- Another highlight of the tour is the City Walls of Constantinople, one of the most complex and effective fortification systems ever built. Constructed by Constantine The Great to protect the Eastern Roman Empire, the walls have undergone numerous additions and modifications throughout history.
- Finally, you will get a glimpse of Topkapi Gate and the Fortress of Seven Towers, which was used as a prison during both the Byzantine and Ottoman periods.
